2005-11-22: Christian Kofler from the Image Understanding and Pattern Recognition Group in Keyserslautern has created a small GUI for FIRE called FireWatch and I modified it slightly. It is now available for download.

2005-09-14: FIRE Version 2.1.0 released. This version contains lots of additional feature extraction tools and finally an installation guide and a simple installation script.

2005-09-05: The contents of the DVD from the Tutorial Medical Image Retrieval that I gave together with Henning Müller is now available online.

2005-06-20: The results from the ImageCLEF 2005 Automatic Annotation Task are available.

2005-02-02: Daniel Keysers and I again coached a team of students participating in the Data Mining Competition 2005. We obtained the 2nd, 2nd (same number of points), 6th, 7th, and 9th place out of 40 participants.
