Welcome to the homepage of Patrick Lehnen.
Currently I am PhD student at the Human Language Technology and Pattern Recognition Group at the RWTH Aachen University.
The research topics of the chair are: Pattern recognition, automatic speech recognition, machine translation, and image recognition.
My research focus has been on Maximum Entropy models for sequences as MEMMs and CRFs. I enhanced these methods guided by natural language understanding, grapheme-to-phoneme conversion and statistical machine translation. Before joining the group of Prof. Ney, I finished my diplom in Physics with minor in computer science at the RWTH and the research center in Jülich.
