Bachelor/Master Theses - Image Processing
At the Lehrstuhl für Informatik 6 of the RWTH Aachen University bachelor/master/diploma theses are available in the field of image processing. Our work currently focusses on object recognition in cluttered scenes, image retrieval, optical character recognition, handwriting recognition, face recognition, gesture recognition, and recognition of sign language. Requirements include high interest in the field and the ability to work on yourself on complex problems.
Exemplary subjects include:- face recognition and analysis of facial expressions
- handwriting recognition of ancient Spanish documents, Arabic handwriting, or French handwriting
- local feature based sign language recognition
- object recognition based on image patches
- special topics in image retrieval
Work is done in C/C++ and python under Linux, thus knowledge in these fields is highly recommended. Also you should definitively have attended the lectures and the lab of the chair. More information can be found on our websites.
